RAAL La Louvière 5 Lommel SK 1
Lommel SK suffers big defeat against RAAL La Louvière Wedstrijd - Verslag 24 nov Lommel SK's unbeaten run has come to an end. After nine games without defeat, LSK had to suffer a big loss against one of the leaders RAAL La Louvière. Despite an early lead, it became a very painful evening for Steve Bould's team. Lommel SK started the match unchanged and very sharp. It resulted very quickly in the opening goal. A corner kick looked to be a goal for goalkeeper Peano, but he went under the ball. This allowed Dries Wouters to kick the ball into the ropes at the far post: 0-1!

Even after the goal, the iniative remained with LSK. Green-White was allowed to play the ball around without any worries, while the home team lurked on the counter. The home team took a while to get into the game, but then soon took over the initiative. After some serious warning, Pieklak had to fish in the 22nd minute. Captain Samuel Gueulette headed hard from a corner kick: 1-1.

For Steve Bould's team it was mainly survival after the equaliser. On several occasions, the home side came close to taking the lead, but good intervention from both the defence and Matthias Pieklak prevented Green-White from falling behind. The deficit came just before half-time. Lucas Schoofs started a foul in the penalty area and so the ball went to the spot. Maxime Pau then shot the ball hard behind Pieklak. After four added minutes, both teams sought the dressing room with a 2-1 score.

Painfull second half
The second half started with two unchanged teams, but with Lommel playing more dominantly. It resulted in a great chance for Green-White on the hour mark. An excellent cross from Sam de Grand was cleverly taken by Diego Rosa. The Brazilian got free in front of the goal, but could not finish. Jason van Duiven's rebound also fell just short.

It turned out to be the start of a strong LSK phase. Twice the Hainaut goalkeeper had to dig, but Groen-Wit could not get the ball against the ropes. Exactly in that phase, the home team took advantage of a mistake by Matthias Pieklak. Our goalkeeper lost the ball, after which Mouhamed Belkheir was able to shoot into the far corner: 3-1. After this, LSK's resistance was definitely broken and just under four minutes after the third goal, the fourth was also behind Pieklak. Again from a corner kick, Belkheir scored his second of the evening: 4-1.

That was not the end of the story for LSK, as Belkheir completed his hat-trick within nine minutes. In the 80th minute, he took advantage again and brought the score to 5-1. That was all, leaving LSK knowing how to lose again after nine league games.
