Dermane Karim will leave Lommel SK and join ESTAC Troyes with immediate effect after both clubs reached an agreement on a permanent transfer. The 22-year-old midfielder joined Lommel SK from Feyenoord in the summer of 2023 and went on to make 49 appearances in Green and White. Over the past 18 months, Karim has spent time on loan at KV Kortrijk and FC Lorient respectively. During his time at Lommel, he also established himself at international level, earning 29 caps for Togo and scoring three goals. He will now make a permanent move to Ligue 1.
Sporting Director Jeffrey van As explained the decision to transfer Karim: “Dermane has shown tremendous development over the past few years. He has also found his feet in France, and Ligue 1 suits his style of play very well. He now has the opportunity to establish himself permanently in this strong competition, and it is an opportunity we did not want to stand in the way of. We would like to thank Karim for everything he has given to Lommel SK and wish him every success in Troyes!”
