Lommel SK Returns to the Top Flight with a Limburgse Derby Men 01 sep The Pro League has announced the first seven games of the new Jupiler Pro League season. Lommel SK returns to the top flight and will face STVV in a Limburgse Derby in the first game of the season.

After 23 years, Lommel SK is back in Belgium’s top division, and the club’s return will immediately be marked by a Limburg derby. The Pro League announced today that the Green and Whites will kick off their campaign with an away trip to STVV on Saturday, August 8. Kick-off at Stayen is scheduled for 8:45 PM.

Lommel’s first home match in the top flight in 23 years will take place one week later. On Sunday, August 16, Sporting Charleroi visit the Soevereinstadion, with kick-off at 7:15 PM. A week later, LSK will once again play at home, hosting KVC Westerlo on Sunday, August 23 at 4:00 PM.

Bruges Double Header

Following the Kempen clash against Westerlo, Lommel face a “Bruges double header”. On Saturday, August 29, the team travels to the Jan Breydel Stadium to take on Cercle Brugge. One week later, reigning champions Club Brugge come to Lommel, with that match scheduled for Friday, September 4.

The final two fixtures confirmed so far are away to Union on Saturday, September 12, and at home against KV Mechelen on Saturday, September 19. Both matches are set to kick off at 8:45 PM. The fixture against Union may still be moved to Sunday due to the Brussels side’s European commitments.
