Lommel SK has received positive news from the license committee today. In the second round of awards, the club was awarded a license for both 1A and 1B. Next season, professional football will again be seen in the Soevereinstadion something the club has been working on recently.
"The granting of the license is an important and positive moment for us," says CEO Mattijs Manders. "The process has taken longer than we had previously estimated, partly due to additional questions about the infrastructure in the Soevereinstadion, such as the construction of field heating and drainage. It’s well known that this is a requirement for every club playing in 1A. We understand that thoroughness and have also worked constructively on this. The club would like to thank everyone who contributes to the development of Lommel SK on a daily basis."
