Faniel Tewelde will leave Lommel SK with immediate effect. The 19-year-old Norwegian is loaned out to his former club, Odds BK, until the end of 2026. Tewelde joined Lommel in the summer of 2024 and has made 17 appearances for the first team so far. At Odds BK, who compete at the second level in Norway, Tewelde returns to the club where he progressed from the youth academy to the first team.
Jeffrey van As, Sporting Director of Lommel SK, explains why Tewelde is leaving at this stage: “The transfer window in Norway remains open much longer than in most other countries. For that reason, it was still possible to find a place for Faniel where he can get more playing time. At this moment, we believe it is better for his development to return to a familiar environment. There, he can consistently get minutes and continue to develop. We will closely monitor his performances and wish him the best of luck in Norway!”
