Wrap up Lommel in the Community Club 12 nov Lommel SK is more than just a football club. Through the Lommel in the Community, we are empowering healthier lives with city youth through football. Together with City Football Group, we re-launched Healthy Goals initiative for the 2nd year which is positively impacting our local community with the creation of safe spaces to play.

Alongside our supporters, partners and staff, we raised in 2024 over €200,000 to enhance the well-being of young people in the region. Below is an overview of the projects that have completed so far.

1. Healthy Goals Project
The Healthy Goals Project brings football to our community in an interactive way. By using an interactive football pitch, this project allows young people to engage in active, fun play while experiencing football.

The aim is to make sports more accessible and appealing to the youth, while promoting their physical health.

2. LSKids: Putting Children First
LSKids is a series of projects specifically designed to engage children and young people in the region with sports and healthy activities.
- LSKids Matchdays: On these days, we invite youth teams and organizations from the surrounding area to enjoy a day full of football under the guidance of LSKids Playmakers.
- Football Camps: In collaboration with Manchester City Football Club, we organize high-quality football training camps for children from the region. In addition to football skills, they also learn important values such as teamwork and discipline.
- LSKids Events: These events are tailored to meet the needs of children and young people, with a focus on sports and fun.
- LSKids Schools: We host primary schools to work thematically on topics such as sustainability, equality, diversity, healthy living, and new media.
This project helps children develop important life skills both on and off the pitch.

3. Community Football: Football for All
Football at Lommel SK is accessible to everyone, regardless of their level or background.

- Regional Football: Our club has around 250 boys playing at provincial or regional levels.
- Disability Football: We have four teams specifically for players with disabilities. This initiative gives them the opportunity to participate in the sport in a fun and inclusive way.
- Girls' Football: We have three youth teams composed exclusively of girls. These teams train and play according to the 'girls only' principle, promoting the development of girls in football.
- Women’s Football: Our women's team competes at a high level, giving women the opportunity to develop their talents on the pitch.
- Younited Belgium: Lommel SK has also launched a Younited team in collaboration with the community institution De Kempen.
This pilot project allows 16- to 18-year-olds, who are staying in a closed institution, to participate in our club activities for a season.
It offers them a unique opportunity to reintegrate into society through sport.

Stronger Together for the Future
With Lommel in the Community, we show our commitment to the well-being of the region. Through these projects, we aim not only to contribute to the development of young footballers but also to have a positive impact on their overall health and well-being. Together, we are building a healthier, stronger community, both on and off the field.

City Football Group Limited (CFG) matched donations to the Healthy Goals Programme made between March and September 2024, to a limit of £125k for any single Club or a maximum of £500k matched globally across all CFG Clubs participating in this round of funding.
